"People often say that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder,' and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves." --Salma Hayek

Welcome to Faeye Photography, Michigan's boudoir photographer.

An exciting new trend in photography, and one of my personal favorites! Males, females, or couples are welcome to explore their more sensual side in front of my camera. You bring your personality, I bring the camera, and when it's all over you'll be surprised how photogenic you can be! Boudoir photos make great gifts for your significant other, are beautiful art to display in your home, and can be a great boost to your body image too!

Boudoir: A Sneaky Peek!

Boudoir: A Sneaky Peek!

While boudoir sessions are always pretty private, and are often meant as a surprise for a special someone, this always puts me in the position of itching to share a few preview images, but not wanting to reveal the identity of the subject or ruin the surprise! Because of that, you will not find sample images from this session until the gift has been presented to its intended recipient, and the samples here have been cropped and doctored to honor the modesty of today's muse. This particular woman is one that I am familiar with, and I was quite excited to capture her. She seemed to have a good idea of the images she wanted out of our sessionBoudoir together, and she herself was excited, which makes my job so much easier! She was a little uncomfortable with her curves, but that discomfort seemed to disappear as she became more relaxed in front of my camera. As often is the case with my boudoir sessions, we started with the outfit that showed the least, and slowly worked our way down to practically nothing. Those of you who have worked with me know that when I am capturing images, I talk. I chatter with the subjects to clear their heads, get them distracted from the idea of "posing" for the camera or "saying cheese", and to learn more about who they really are. All of this helps me to capture the best possible images of them. Another thing that happens, especially at boudoir sessions, is that I get very excited when I capture Boudoirsomething that I truly love, or an image that really distills the subject's personality. I don't just get excited on the inside either. I squeal, giggle, and sometimes make large gestures! As a result, I often feel obligated to give the subject a glimpse of my camera's LCD screen so that they understand my excitement. This habit of mine resulted in what I believe to be the best moment I have ever had in a boudoir session. During this boudoir session, I captured an image that I really loved. I showed it to the subject, who looked surprised and said, "How did that happen? That isn't me." Amazing. I am very privileged to have the job I have, gazing at beautiful women and helping them to feel sexy and beautiful, but it is an even better thing when I capture that beauty I knew was there all along, and can present the subject with it as unarguable proof of what they may never have noticed before. They are beautiful. They are sexy. They are lovely. Just the way they are.
